What is no win no fee?

What is no win no fee?

No win no fee is an other name of the conditional fee agreemenent under which a claimant only pay for the solicitor fee when he or she wins the case.
There are many law firms specialised in road accident, personal injury, medical negligence and employment issues that operate only on a no win no fee basis.

What happens if you win?

If you win you normally don't have to pay your solicitor fees. These latter are incurred by your opponent.

What if you lose?

If you lose your case you will normally have to pay your opponent's costs.
In order to cover yourself against the risk of losing the case and therefore paying your opponent's costs it is advisable to takie out insurance. Most of no win no fee solicitors will not pursue your claim unless they explain to you this issue and advise you about costs insurance before starting court proceedings.
